Dr Aaron Brown - Technical Sales Manager YAF, Trouw Nutrition Ireland
Aaron is the Technical Sales Manager for Young Animal Feeds for Trouw Nutrition Ireland. He joined Trouw Nutrition in 2022, and has been providing technical support to customers and farmers on youngstock nutrition and management. Prior to this he completed a PhD in calf housing and nutritional management at Queens University Belfast and Agrifood & Biosciences Institute.
Katie Hoey - YAF Technical Specialist, Trouw Nutrition Ireland
Katie comes from a dairy and tillage background, in Co. Louth. She joined Trouw Nutrition in 2019. She has developed a passion for early life nutrition and she focusses on optimizing the management and development of young calves from birth onwards. In 2016, Katie completed her master's degree in Veterinary Medicine, specializing in calf health and nutrition at University College Dublin (UCD) and Teagasc. On a weekly basis, Katie travels across Ireland, providing technical support to customers, troubleshooting and sharing practical advice with farmers to boost calf performance and welfare.
Dr. Ryan Davies - SCCL Veterinary Consultant
Dr. Ryan Davies spent 21 years in farm animal clinical practice before starting his own consultation company, VTC Ltd, targeting preventative health medicine and the reduction in the use of antibiotics in farm animals. He provides Veterinary technical consultation services to SCCL, a recent highlight in his career was presenting in 2024 as a keynote speaker at the World Buiatrics Congress in Cancun, Mexico. He is currently undertaking a study into the supplementation of passive immunity and the definition of transition milk feeding in a pasture based, spring calving dairy herd, which was partly funded by Farming Connect.
Ray Foy - Sales Manager Teemore Engineering
Ray grew up on a Dairy Farm in West Fermanagh. He completed his Education at Greenmount Agriculture College and University Of Ulster Coleraine.Ray joined Teemore Engineering in 2006 as Sales Manger and has assisted in growing the company to become the leader in livestock housing design.
